This week we welcomed Father Tom (Vicar of our local St Paul’s C of E Church, Winlaton), who led us in a whole school ‘Harvest Festival Assembly’ celebration.

Father Tom spoke about how we can help other (less fortunate) people in the world around us – by being ‘good fruit’ and sharing gifts such as patience, love, kindness, gentleness etc with one another. Can you think of any of the other 9 ‘fruits’ which St Paul talked about in The Holy Bible?

Some of our KS2 children shared some bible readings prepared by Father Tom, and we all sang our different KS1 and KS2 ‘Harvest Songs’ in a whole school celebration of Harvest time – ‘Farmer, what are you growing?’ and ‘It’s Harvest time!’

Many thanks to all the parents / carers for their kind food donations, which we will donating to our local food bank charity.
