Our Curriculum

At Winlaton West Lane, Senior Leaders and Subject Leaders have worked together to create a bespoke, skills-based curriculum designed to challenge and engage our learners. Rooted firmly in the National Curriculum, topics are enquiry-based – starting with a question – and aim to ignite pupils’ curiosity.

The curriculum is designed enable pupils to become confident and independent learners throughout life by developing a range of key skills: problem solving, collaboration, inquisitiveness, resilience, creativity, critical thinking, persistence, risk-taking, patience, exploration, reflection, evaluation, communication, performance and debate and many more!

More information is available in our  Y1 to Y6 Curriculum Overviews (PDF).  If you require any further information about our curriculum, please feel free to contact one of our subject leaders or a member of the senior leadership team.
