I am very proud to be the Headteacher of a school with such awe-inspiring children, dedicated staff and supportive parents and carers.
Staff and Governors helped to create our vision statement for our wonderful school which is based on a happy, inclusive school which exudes an ethos of opportunity for all -children, staff, Governors, Parents and the wider community of Winlaton. One that enables our children to take responsibility and be the workforce of the future.
Winlaton WLCP endeavours to be a forward-thinking school which is experiencing a time of change and rapid improvement. High expectations of teaching and learning, behaviour and team work are the norm here. We want to be outstanding in all areas of school life.

This week, two of our local police officers (PC Neale and his colleague) dropped in to talk to our Year 6 about responsible use of ICT / social media. They also very kindly took the time to speak with other pupils in the yard and during lunch! It was great to meet them!read more
Wow! Our Key Stage 1 children had an amazing time this afternoon, at their end of half-term ‘Halloween themed’ disco! There were some VERY strange costumes dancing to some spooky tunes – as you can see from our photo gallery slideshow!read more
As part of our whole school ‘Art Week’ initiative led by Mrs Young, this week all of our children have had great fun creating a range of ‘artistic masterpieces’ to showcase to parents at our school Art Exhibition on Wednesday 1st November 2017!read more
Our wonderful Year 5/6 football team played in the county finals in Sunderland on Tuesday and came 2nd! Over 200 teams entered the competition so they did really well. Don’t they look smart in their new strips?!read more
