I am very proud to be the Headteacher of a school with such awe-inspiring children, dedicated staff and supportive parents and carers.
Staff and Governors helped to create our vision statement for our wonderful school which is based on a happy, inclusive school which exudes an ethos of opportunity for all: children, staff, Governors, Parents and the wider community of Winlaton. It is an ethos that enables our children to take responsibility and become a brilliant workforce of the future.
Winlaton West Lane Community Primary endeavours to be a forward-thinking school with high expectations of teaching and learning, behaviour and team work. We aspire to be outstanding in all areas of school life.

In our ICT lessons with Miss Westgarth, Year 2 classes have been learning about different ways in which DATA (information) can be presented – looking at how to interpret bar graphs, tally charts and pictograms. In the next few weeks we will be using our school IPADS and laptops to try and create our own bar graphs using Microsoft Excel!read more
