In Year 1 Chestnut, we have been learning about seasons and the weather. Last week, we talked about the four seasons and how the weather changes in each of those seasons. We focused on autumn and the changes that occur -the children described the change in the weather and then compared a picture of a tree in the summer to a tree in the autumn.read more
In nursery, we have been reading the traditional tale ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The children have enjoyed joining in with key phrases from the story (Grandma what big eyes you have). They have been dressing up as the characters Little Red Riding Hood and Grandma and using role play masks and puppets to act out the story.read more
This week our school has held a whole school ‘Art Week’ to celebrate the variety of artistic talent and skills amongst our children. Nursery enjoyed using paint to experiment with colour. Take a look at our photo slideshow to see some of our budding artists in action!read more
Nursery has had lots of fun learning stories about BEARS! We have listened to We’re going on a bear hunt, Goldilocks and the three bears and Peace at last. The children brought in their own teddy bears and we all tasted porridge just like Goldilocks and the three bears!read more
